It was nice but very very busy, lots of people and lots of children which is fine but not if you're looking for a bit of peace and quiet :)
Great little spot for a walk to loose yourself in nature.
Very very very little parking but the bonfire night fireworks were awesome! I havent done it for years but a walk down the harbour is beautiful, particularly in a frosty morning.
Great place for walking including adults and children of all ages; pathways are wide and flat and can accommodate mobility of wheelchairs. There are a number of access points from the nature reserve on to the beach. Parking is plentiful just outside the gate entrance, or inside the castle ground, but payment is required. There is a cafe in the castle serving snacks and hot/cold drinks. The castle was re-opened in March 2018 following a big refurbishment and is well worth a visit - small charge for entry. A great family day out, no matter what the weather - fully recommend this place to all.
What a great beach. Spent Easter week in the area and visited every day but one. Before 1st April car parking was 50p for the day...about 3.50 for a few hours after that. Dogs OK on all beaches up until May and then just on the left hand beach after that (which is huge so good for a run). Amazing soft ice cream at the beach cafe. Beach huts like on "grandpa in my pocket". Lovely place - do visit.
