Wonderful staff. Very friendly and helpful. We went here to give our kids a go at their 'Have a go' day so they could try a few different things. We did archery, roasting marshmallows, the climbing wall and slingshot. The kids had an amazing time. The staff made it so much fun!!! My kids can't wait to go back again for more!!

The kids love doing there school holiday activity days.

Our stay was for 2 nights on a special needs inclusion break. The place was lovely, lots of brilliant activities and very reasonably priced. Food was supplied, with good choice, and enough to feel full at each meal. All staff were very polite and helpful. However the family accommodation was in a children's dorm type room with extremely small beds that would fit a small child up to the age of around 10. The bedcovers barely covered the bed and I had to try to stay rigid so as not to freeze off body parts in the night. When I did manage some sleep the mattress was so firm that I woke up with pins and needles in my legs and I went for a walk at 2am to try to get some relief. We left a day early as no one wanted to stay the second night. I would have happily paid a lot more for this break if we could have had a comfortable stay. Overall excellent but I'll go for a day visit next time.

Set in a nice area, it has camping facilities but on this occasion we were using the dormitories in the main house. Beds were comfortable enough, though the pillows were extremely thin. Bedding clean and fresh. It's a grade 1 listed building and that may have played a part, but the toilets and shower rooms while adequate, really left a lot to be desired and there was a lot of noise one night when there was a storm due to wind noise blowing past a gap around the window frame. Meals good and facilities include cycling paths, fishing, canoeing on the lake, walks in the forest zip wire, five a side and basketball courts.

A really nice site with adequate services you would expect from a campsite. We stayed in the forest pitches which had a great sense of seclusion even when busy. The many fire pits across the site are a very welcome addition. Overall, good value and would recommend for short-medium stays
