Great gluten free Wednesdays. Batter really crispy, mushy peas & chips are great. Senior meals are great filling & you even get a drink.
There is a very good reason that so many of these reviews are 5 stars. This is without doubt one of the best Fish and Chips establishments in the Country. I think that I can confidently say that after visiting hundreds. Went here for dinner only yesterday and was both amazed and very satisfied with what I was given. For me it is the fish that is hardest to get right and Priory Fryer have got it very right. Lovely large piece of Cod with chunks of Cod and thin crispy batter that clung to the fish with no oil retained in the batter. They are clearly doing something that most of the others are not and they are doing it very well. Chips and mushy peas also excellent and who could resist a Wally?, not me. You may be 75 minutes away but we will see you again soon.
It is very rare to get gluten free fish and chips, so this was a treat . Batter was really lovely , the best I have ever tasted. I had the homemade fish cake which was huge and really nice. Shop and tables very clean and staff friendly. I will definitely eat there again.

The food was magnificent, beautiful fresh fish & chips wow. THE batter wow was so light yummy yummy. Even better it's licensed fantastic also tbey offer pots of tea, how quant It is run by Ray and staff. They are a credit to themselves.Thank you Ray for your hospitality we will be back. Genuinely the best fish and chips Ive ever tasted. Chips are a mixture of crispy and soft and there always a nice amount of salt and vinegar put on. Prices are amazing for the amount you get! Always go there.
